Pingtung County in Taiwan’s far south is gearing up to host this year’s National Day fireworks display on October 10.
The show will last for 42 minutes, making it the longest National Day fireworks show yet. Organizers say they will launch over 16,000 fireworks during the event.
The show will feature live musical accompaniment by the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. It is being billed as the first-ever picnic-style National Day fireworks show. Attendees are encouraged to bring food and picnic gear and enjoy an evening out on the venues grassy lawn.
After the fireworks display, attendees can also stick around and enjoy more live music into the evening.
