The Prime Minister of Eswatini, Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini, is set to lead a delegation to Taiwan next week at the invitation of the government. This will be the prime minister’s first visit to Taiwan.

The foreign ministry said on Thursday that Dlamini and his delegation will be visiting Taiwan from October 7 to 11. During the five-day trip, the delegation will attend the National Day celebration and take part in talks on bilateral cooperation.

To promote trade ties, Eswatini and the Taiwan-Africa Business Association are also planning to hold an event aimed at attracting Taiwanese investment in the African county.

In late September, Prime Minister Dlamini spoke in favor of Taiwan’s bid to join the United Nations at the UN General Assembly debates in New York. Dlamini urged the UN to allow Taiwan to participate in organizations under the UN framework with equality and dignity.
